Welcome to the Faculty of Philology & History:

The Faculty provides blended educational experiences combining traditional and modern approaches in the process of teaching & learning. It is distinguished by leading a broad range of research initiatives and teaching programmes which are primarily related to two main areas of expertise: humanities with history, linguistics, literary studies, philosophy, philology and cultural studies, as well as social sciences with law, administration, management, political science and national security.
Members of the Faculty collaborate with numerous universities and other academic centres and institutions in the country and abroad, implementing bilateral agreements on scientific, didactic and cultural cooperation and joint research projects. They are also actively engaged in sharing their extensive knowledge with international audiences – they have been participating in conferences and seminars in Brussels, Rome, Vienna, Prague, Moscow, Jerusalem, Istanbul, St Petersburg, Kherson, Lviv, Bratislava, Landau, Salzburg to name but a few.
The Faculty of Philology & History comprises 6 Institutes that offer a range of educational opportunities in 26 fields of study with bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees, together with 18 postgraduate programmes. The Faculty community is created by 170 academic staff who provide education to more than 2000 students.
