Welcome to the Faculty of Art:

The tradition of art education at Jan Długosz University in Częstochowa dates back to the mid-70s of the twentieth century. Progressive development of the scientific and artistic staff has allowed the creation of the Faculty of Art (1990) and the number of the offered majors to be increased. Despite the capabilities of teaching and training teachers in various artistic fields, the Faculty is also providing majors and courses strictly dedicated to arts.
Faculty’s staff maintain numerous artistic and scientific contacts with other partner universities in the country, as well as abroad. Among others there can be named universities placed in Qinhuangdao (China), Hradec Králové (Czech Republic), Ostrava (Czech Republic), Klaipeda (Lithuania), Koblenz-Landau (Germany), Ružomberok (Slovakia) and Zadar (Croatia), as well as in Lviv - the Lviv National Music Academy (Ukraine).
The faculty consists of two Institutes: the Institute of Fine Arts and the Institute of Music (Performing Arts), where nine fields of study are currently offered thanks to the human resources and building facilities that build the faculty itself.
